Mission Farewell

As I've been preparing for my mission, I've been keeping a check list. Just a mental one, so that I can keep myself sane. The last two things on that check list was FAREWELL, then MISSION TIME.

Well, now that the FAREWELL part is done, I only have one last thing on the list. And that part is really weird to me. This time next week I'll be in Peru on my mission. It's scary but really exciting. I can't wait to start this journey!

I want to thank everyone who came to my farewell, they truly made it very special! It was a lot of fun to have all my family and friends here with me to share that day with me. For those of you who couldn't make it, I have attached my talk and I hope you enjoy it. I love you all!

Wouldn't be here without all of them!

I Love To See the Temple

Today was the most amazing day of my entire life! I never want this feeling to go away, I feel like I'm on top of the entire world.

"I love to see the temple, I went inside today.
I covenanted with my Father, I promised to obey.
For the temple is a house of God, a place of love and beauty.
I prepared myself while I was young, this is my sacred duty."

The temple is such a special and sacred place. And the feeling that you have when you go through is even more special. I was smiling from ear to ear the entire time I was in there. I love this gospel with all my heart, might, mind and strength. Thank you for all of you who have made me the girl I am today. Because without you, I wouldn't be who I am today. And I am forever grateful!

One of the most touching times in there was when my 3 older brothers walked in while there were dressed in white. I started to cry because it was such an amazing sight seeing 3 of my heroes standing there in all white and knowing that they were there with me. It's a moment I will never forget. I can't wait to go back!

13 days!!
Greatest parents a girl could have!

Don't know where I would be without my brothers!
They're my heroes!
Love these two!

Never a dull moment with them!

My favorite boys in the world!

So blessed to have all of them!

They truly made today special!

Cup Song - Sister Missionary Edition

So I have about 20 more days! My time is almost here and I can't believe how fast it's coming. I found this song a few months ago, and I decided to do my own rendition of the song. So this is the famous "Cup Song" but with a Sister Missionary twist. Hope you like it!

Call 911 "ICE CREAM!"

This past Thursday, I had the great and fun opportunity to have my wisdom teeth taken out. Luckily I only had 2. But unluckily I had 2. My dad was fortunate enough to not have any and my mom only had 2. So in my family, you either had 2 or none. And I was one of the lucky ones to get 2.
When I walked out of the dentist and got in the car, my mom started filming me. Honestly I don't remember any of it. But I've watched it and apparently I was an emotional mess. All I wanted was ice-cream and I wouldn't stop until I got some. Hope you enjoy this video of my emotional breakdown.

I have 50 days left! Woo!! Almost there, and I cannot wait to get to Peru and serve. I know this is the one and only true church on this earth today and I am so excited to share what I love with others.

Come Unto Christ

2 more months, that's it! The time is absolutely flying by and it's scaring me. But, this morning I felt especially nervous. I've been getting ready and it just felt like today I had more temptations than usual. Reasons why I shouldn't go on a mission, and they were scaring me. I've wanted to serve since I was little and now that the time is almost here it's mind boggling. Like I said, today has just been a very rough day. I was on Facebook and one of my friend's posted this video. I watched it, and I felt so comforted and I knew that this is what I am supposed to do. Watch it, it's amazing!

It really is that simple, Come Unto Christ. Our Heavenly Father is always there for us, he knows us better than we know ourselves. And it is such a comfort to me knowing that I can turn to him for anything and everything and he will still love me. I can't wait to share this love with others.

Missionary Shopping

First of all, I'm not the hugest fan of shopping. If I know what I need to get I'm fine with just going in there and getting it and going out. Yes, every once in a while it's nice to try on some cute clothes or whatnot. But other than that, I try to stay away from shopping. Well, today I started the exciting journey of shopping for missionary clothes! And anyone who knows me, knows I have some of the WORST style ever! I'm completely happy in sweats and a hoodie. In fact, I'm dressed like that 90% of the time. (I may or may not be dressed like that right now) So shopping for "cute" and "fashionable" clothes was a struggle. Without my mom there, I don't think I would have been able to make it through. But we have officially started.

Since I'm the first Sister missionary in my family, my mom isn't used to this. My family has sent out 3 Elder's and she told me how much easier they are than girls. Get them a few white shirts, a suit, and some slacks and they're just about ready to go! Sister's are completely different! The skirt, the shirt, the shoes... Ahh! Not quite what I'm into. But we were able to get a few outfits today and I made it out alive. And it was actually a lot more simple than I thought. But sadly, we're not done yet... More shopping and missionary adventures to come! Yay!!
78 more days!
